it really does depend on the girl as a whole being. However, I would have to say in general I find brunettes more attractive, but now I'm just splitting hairs.

It's all a matter of preference. Lots of people think japanese girls who dye their hair blond look cute in a sea of black hair in that country. And I remember people dying their hair brown when Britney Spears did it. I think they both can be attractive.
