Do you believe that atheists are less moral of people because of a lack of faith in a god?

there has been so much blood spilled over religious crusades or Jihad, and I'm trying to thinkof decent examples of atheistic cruelty, and I can't think of any. Atheism has been a tool to give governments more power over there people, but other than that... yea.

Welll, under Stalin's control Atheism was the national religion. Stalin did this so that then he was the only power for people to follow, because "god" is above "dictator" in power over what you do. I hope that made sense.

The fact that people are atheist or not doesn't make them more or less moralistic. Atheists still follow civil and personal ethics. Of course, as you have pointed out, there will always be a minority of violent propagators on both sides of this coin. Examples of atheist cruelty include Mao Zedong (71 million) Stalin's purges (60 million) and Hitler (11 million)
