MySpace as the place to see what your friends are up to, yes it's DEAD. I dunno though, I've seen enough zombie movies where you think they're dead, and then they come back alive.
They've lost their niche as an 'online hangout' to Twitter and Facebook. Keeping afloat with the music thing but I don't believe they can sustain this vs competitors in that industry. And I don't know if they'll be strong enough to rebrand as something else.
Don't think so. Maybe 3rd parties will make music apps for Facebook but Facebook probably won't move to integrate it themselves. It'd be dumb for them to. They'd take on email before music.
BTW - Did you know they had more page views in the US than Google on Christmas ?!
it's not necessarily dead just yet. is it used in the same capacity as a social networking / what are my friends up to, kind of site? not at all. facebook has definitely taken over. but myspace is still doing quite a bit on the music/media front, which is initially what TOM (remember him?!) had started the site for.
