He has more to lose than gain if he participates in the dunk contest.
No one will argue that Bron can dunk with the best of them during "in-game" instances. But when it's a contest, with props and all the other stuff, it's a different situation.
I'm sure he just doesn't want to put the time and effort it will take to come up with interesting dunks either.
And let's face it, the dunk competitions best days are long gone. Most dunks have been done already and now it's mostly about props and showmanship and less about the actual dunk.
Some of the best players won the dunk contest...Kobe, Jordan, Dominique, Dr. J, Vince, J Rich. I think it would be good on his resume to take at least one dunk title. Anyway, the fans want to see it happen.
honestly his dunks are pretty wack. its all power dunks. no finesse. if you watched him in the All american dunk contest in high school his dunks were pretty wack!
umm, just watched the nba dunk contest this year - and it was the whackest ever. "ooh, did you see that - a left handed dunk." followed by, "ooh, I think he may have reversed on that dunk." the dunk contest this year was a load of whack.
