Yes! It has come to the point where i feel like if i order coffee and don't leave a tip, i am a cheap dude. what's next? tipping at the supermarket for good bagging? i hope not =)

I know what you mean. They have tip jars everywhere like Starbucks. I never tip there. Why should you? They are paid to take your order. They aren't doing anything extra. I even see tip jars in random smaller grocery stores. WTH.

I hate how I feel obligated to tip even when I don't receive good service. I don't leave as much, but I feel guilty if I don't leave anything.

just came back from Japan... and tipping is viewed as an insult. NO TIP EXPECTED OR WANTED from bell boys, baggage handlers, restaurants, anything. the workers there just have too much pride doing their job.

That's good to know since I'll be going there later this year! Amazing how the cultures are so different.
