I think so. I hope so. Diminishing returns. I'm trying to decide now if I will remember him for all his great wins against the 49ers or for not knowing when to retire.

He's certainly reached the age to retire, and he's accomplished enough to retire. But I can't agree with diminishing returns - that's b/c he had by far the highest QB rating this year versus any other year in his career. Plus I don't know if you can claim any injury concerns b/c he never misses a game. And he definitely makes the team much, much better. He's certainly lost a bit physically, but he's definitely gained a bit mentally. Just based on performance he still belongs on the field no question.

he'll retire, but then he'll unretire, besting allen iverson for the shortest retirement within the past year.

He should retire. He's proven himself. Sadly, I think he'll only retire if he suffers a major injury, or if he simply can't throw the football anymore.

I predict that he will get hurt mid season and retire after 2010 because of major injuries. Just a guess though. :)
