Do you like to celebrate Valentine's Day?

Is it overrated? Is it one of your favorite holidays? Do you dread it because your bitter & single? Do you look forward to it every year? Do you ban this holiday because there's no point of celebrating? Catch my drift? I'd like to know your opinion.

Everyday should be Valentine's Day. Everyday should be Mother's day and every day should be Father's day.

Valentine's day reminds me of this study done on monkeys. It might be a little off but bare with me. Every 8th time the monkey pulled a lever it got a treat. After a while the monkey stopped pulling the lever because he got bored. They did the same thing with another monkey but randomized when he got the treat (it wasn't every 8th time). That monkey kept pulling the lever for way longer because he didn't know when it was coming next.

Sounds kind of like slot machines?

Basically, when it' predictable, it is no longer enjoyable. I've never liked Valentine's Day for that reason (except 4th through 8th grade). Back then you could buy a $0.10 candy gram to show the girl you liked her.

I think it's an overrated Hallmark holiday. It was just fun as kids when we would send candy-grams at school and pass out Be My Valentine cards with cartoon characters.

I so remembered that in elementary school where we all passed out valentine cards to everyone in the class - regardless of gender - so at the end of the day everyone in the class had a whole stack of them...

What a waste of paper.

single or in a relationship, i never liked celebrating valentines day. you should tell the pple you love how much you care everyday, not just on feb 14th.

I like the candy. It goes on sale in large packs. And in particular I like the hearts that have the sayings on them. You only get those at Valentine's.
