I got invited to a Yelp "Elite party." The catch, I must go alone. Should I go? Free alcohol and food.

I'm not rubbing it in anyones face, kinda intimidating going to a event alone not knowing anyone there not knowing what to expect. BUT I am also very curious and it would be good to meet new people. Hmm...

i've gone to yelp elite events. everyone either seems to know each other or they all come in groups. if you're fine w/ just standing around taking in the scene while enjohing the free food and drink...why not? usually it's an event space or food and drink that's new or revamped, so it's worth it.

Why not? At worst, its free food and drink. You could make some new friends. Go for it!
