QUESTION:

Do you think it's unfair that just because you are listed as "married" on your tax return that should you get more money/tax breaks?

i'm just bitter "single" claimer...

I tend to think there are people out there who marry primarily for that purpose.

and what % of them do you think end up costing themselves even more money b/c they get divorced when they should never have gotten married?

It's unfair but I think it's the government's way of promoting long lasting relationships through marriage.

I voted yes because everything tax related is "unfair." But just so you don't feel too bitter, there are instances where married couples pay more taxes overall than singles (both make good money = higher tax bracket).

marriage doesnt work in the world today, its an institution that is in decay

and if i have love i wish to portray, i will surely find another way
