It doesn't make sense to me that people would thrive under pressure. With more prep you should do better, that is unless you're just a lazy slacker who doesn't try hard enough normally.

This reminds me of the argument in sports when people discuss who's clutch. I always think these people are just crazy to suggest someone is clutch, as in someone performs better in higher leverage situations. No one can perform above their abilities; and if someone does perform better in the clutch, that just means they're dogging it all the rest of the time.
