Yes, but we started off as good friends. Our relationship lasted for about 5 years. 11 years later, we are still friends and keep in touch from time to time.

Yep. And it's all sunshine and rainbows until things start going downhill. Someone invariably starts acting crazy. My advice, don't EVER do it unless u care for the person more than the job to begin with.

Yes and its usually not a good idea. My experience and observations tell me that people get involved with co-workers because of proximity and the situation is relieved of the social pressures of going out to a bar or club. People get to know a person outside of that environment and may develop an attractiveness to the person at an everyday level.

I believe it is a part of it. But its not the determining factor. If I had to choose, I think the last part of my statement holds more truth.

it depends... if you are at a cool company, nobody cares, people think it's cute. if you are a lame company, every gossips and wonders if the do the hokey pokey in the copier room

I almost did but I stopped it before it went further than flirting....and then it got really awkward because he was immature about it and just an ass. So, I'm glad I didn't even though it was awkward afterwards because I can't imagine how much more awkward it would have been if we did anything together.
