But similarly you end up "starving" when you are the person with more items than everyone else because you end up letting everyone you see pass through.
Don't you feel like it's a waist of time to go shopping for just a few items at a time though? I let it build up to where I can get everything all at once - just being more efficient, and less wasteful (that's my excuse for laziness). And for the washer, I have enough underwear to last me a month (ie: I don't need to do the wash but once a month).
I try and pay attention to the people around me. I've noticed a hurried mother needing to pick up one item from a store, and she has her hands full w/her child already - I try and be curteous to such people, and let them proceed. I have no problem making things easier for others if it doesn't really put me out. And the more someone looks like they can use the help, the more likely I am to help.
