QUESTION:

In public restrooms, do you touch the lever with your hands to flush it?

I've always kicked it/pushed it with my foot.

I use the good ol' foot as well to flush in the stalls. For urinals, it wouldn't work as well (unless you got Van Damme flexbility).

You shouldn't have to worry about it being dirty since you wash your hands right after...you do waste your hands right after? right?

I always do, but I still don't want to get someone elses urine or anything else on my hands before that.

It should be fine since it's what janitors have to deal with on a daily basis...

The lever is not a problem for me. Either I touch it or not, I still wash my hands after. What concerns me more is leaving the restroom and touching the door handle as I walk out. Think about how many people leave the restroom and touch the door handle without washing their hands.

I use my butt to open the door when if its a push/pull door. If I have to turn the knob, I usually use the paper towel to open the door after I wash my hands.

I do the same and use paper towels. Or if I forget sometimes, there's always that hand sanitizer in my purse...

How about turning on the water...well actually turning off the water facet. Your hands are clean but now you have to touch the water facet. lol

I totally know what you mean... I think that's the hardest to avoid. Any suggestions? Perhaps washing the water facet handle while you're washing your hands?

I'm with Alano...I push it with my foot and use a paper towel to turn off the water/open the door. What sometimes sucks is when the garbage is far from the door. That's when I'm a bastard and shoot a three pointer.

Wow, so many germ issues involving the bathroom that I was previously pretty much unaware of. I'm wearing my hazmat suit next time I go into the bathroom, but then I'll have to deal with the issue of taking it off w/o that germ killing shower - ahhh, what to do?

i've used a bottle; and that takes extreme care, b/c those small mouth soda bottles can be real messy. imagine shooting the mouth of the clown at the carnival w/the squirt gun to pop the balloon - but a thousand times more difficult.

Automatic flushers FTW. If n/a, then definitely use the Wanderlei Silva foot stomp!

Elbow? That's some good reflexes you got there. Are you an acrobat?
