Have You Ever Gotten the Feeling That Your Mother Doesn't Really Love You?

I feel this way sometimes because I have so many siblings and I sometimes find my parents loving my sister more than me.

My mother divorced my dad then became a drug addict and systematically destroyed our family by sleeping with another dude who became my stepdad and then she had two half kids and still continued to do drugs.... obliterated my hopes of living in a stable family.... something I "swear" I will never do to my family if I ever find someone to get with. Not likely in San Francisco, more likely in Conservative small town Georgia..... blah blah blah. Typical american story.

Everyones family is dysfunctional in some way, and love is a complex emotion. Depending on the person their can be A LOT of other things wrapped up in that love...like denial, resentment, insecurities. If the person isn't living a healthy lifestyle you can't expect their relationships to be healthy, but I doesnt mean they dont love you, or others in their lives.
