Wow that's a great question. My first instinct is to see if he has any friends around. Then my second instinct is to see if I can run away from the scary guy. Third instinct is whether or not I can take him in a fight...
But anyways, assume they didn't take my phone, i'd call the police. If it was an iphone, i'm in deep shit either way though...
If someone is running away from me, that instantly makes them less scary for some reason - and I think I would chase him. If he was running toward me to take my Ipod though, then I'd probably run away.
I laughed when I was answering this question. I would not run after him, but I would try to find a police officer to do it for me. What would I do when I have him cornered? Not a decision I'd like to make.
