love it! apparently, it's a california thing. if you ask for ranch in nyc, they'd laugh at you. in the sunset, seniore's pizza has this awesome special sauce that's like a spicy ranch sauce. (oh wait, this isn't yelp...haha.)
i'm all about the ranch with pizza! especially with the crust! if you're ever eating pizza with me, just know that i usually don't share my ranch. sorry! :)
I often criticize about American food that if you have to put sauce on the food, then the food isn't that good to begin with. Food that have been cooked correctly shouldn't need any external sauce to make it better. Doing so would just overshadow any of the natural taste and all you will taste is ranch!
i don't think the purpose of an additional sauce is to overshadow the food but to act as a compliment. pizza's great on its own, but for me it's even better combined with ranch. like fries w/ ketchup. chicken nuggets w/ (insert fave mickey d's sauce here). :-)
I'm wondering how this started because it just sounds gross. Someone must have ordered a house salad with ranch. There was some extra ranch left and bingo pizza with ranch. Sorry you won't get me to try this.
Oh yeah, buffalo wings - and any other chicken related and/or fried appetizer items.
