I think most of the time this can happen. There are so many variables out there that can change the relationship with your friends. Priorities are established as we get older, start a career, or start having a family. The dynamic of being friends won't change, but seeing how the friendship was before will change.

I don't think so. I've been best friends with my girlfriend since we were 18 months old, and we're 21.
