QUESTION:

Do you think Tiger Woods did a good job in his televised apology speech?

"I know I have bitterly disappointed all of you," Woods said, speaking in front of his mother, Kultida, PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem, friends and selected media inside the TPC Sawgrass, home of the PGA Tour. "I am embarrassed that I have put you in this position. I have a lot to atone for.

"I was unfaithful. I had affairs. I cheated. What I did was unacceptable and I am the only person to blame."

Overall, I think he did. However, I would have love to see a little less robotic. Too bad the camera went out and we only got a side profile towards the last few minutes.

He really was not very smooth, as if this was the first time he ever read this prepared speech.

I agree. Yes it was a good speech. Just as I expected, it was a well thought, carefully written speech. I didn't really feel his sincerity. And I think he owed the media at least a chance to ask him questions.

It felt like I was watching a B list actor in a terrible movie - the type of movies you watch and make fun of b/c the script and acting is so bad.

"I felt entitled" .... Don't we all? lol.

From Booty to Buddha in one presser, Tiger did just what he needed to do move towards closure before addressing golf. Image repaired? Well no but it's a step in the right direction.

I've always been a fan of Tiger, but this press conference confirms one thing for me---he is really a robot.

His stilted speech felt fake although deep down I do think he meant it and was trying to be heartfelt. But yah while I was watching I couldn't help but think "Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto."

To me, a small percentage of people could pull off a good speech and not sound like a robot. Was it read or rehearsed? Probably. But you got to remember, he's not an actor or politician. He doesn't give speeches of this magnitude. If Tiger wants to get his point across, let him read it point for point. This minimalizes the scrutiny he would get from the media. Imagine Tiger just going off the top of his head with all the emotions surrounding this debacle. I think he would get more crap than anything.

Tiger, READ ON brotha!

I thought it was way too canned. Have a scripted opening if you want but then why not have some bullet points and apologize with some heartfelt words rather than what he did. Hopefully he did a better job of apologizing in private to his friends and family.

I thought he did a good job. Believable to me. I think not answering questions was the best thing for him. I'm sure the questions people would ask would be quite embarrassing, like..."How many did you sleep with? Did you use condoms? If so, what brand? Was it good?"

if i had to go in front of the entire world and say sorry for my worst mistakes, that would really suck. he isn't our president or my dad, he's a golfer.

Yeah, sucks. But when you have a million kids saying "I'm Tiger Woods," it comes with the territory.
