I wouldn't be offended if in a joking matter. I would be offended if someone really thought I was "playing" in the dating scene. My definition of a player would be someone who misleads the other person by saying they are exclusive but has other relations on the side. My definition of dating is a non-committal relationship with other people who KNOW you are dating other people.
