QUESTION:

If you saw someone of the opposite sex just as a friend (and you're both straight), would you ever ask them to go to Vegas with you 1 on 1?

Why not? if you have fun with this person, that is most important... and if there is a potential for it to be more than a friend in vegas... then even better =)

I think I should've phrased my question differently. I've been friends with this girl for a couple of years and she asked if I'm free to party with her in Vegas in August either 1on1 or with her sister and her sis' bf. I'm trying to see if I'm in the friend zone or not.

Gotcha... I believe you are not in the friend zone... you are in the i want you more than a friend zone to party with me in vegas... ESPECIALLY if it's 1on1. Would you be open to the more than a friend zone?

Yeah, I think so as long as we keep it fun and simple. I guess I'll just have to see where it goes. Thanks for the comments Slick! Much appreciated!

It seems to me she's implying (or inferring - I never know which one is right) she wants something more than just friends w/a trip like this. So with this being the case, if you are friends, I think you may want to clarify things before going on this trip.
And it seems like you may need to clarify your feelings for this girl to yourself as well.

the whole sexy-ness of vegas (eg alcohol, slutty outfits, and the like) just scream "something more than friends" to me.

I dont see anything wrong with that as long as it is a mutual thing that is just friends mentality. I think Vegas gets such a bad rap. Yes, it does and is known for many things like going to the clubs, crazy outfits, etc, but there's more to Vegas.
