Good question, but I don't think it's necessarily sexist. Sexism implies something negative. It describes discrimination or prejudice over women. It's just hard to argue against men being better in sports.
are those comments about mud wrestling sexist against men - b/c they state women are better than men? or do you mean that the statements are demeaning to women, somehow concluding that those who participate in mud wrestling are any less than anyone else.
Sports that require strength are dominated by men no question about that. It's a fact of life. Women will not catch up to men in this regard just so long the evolution of mankind stays the same. Where strength is of less concern like billiards, darts and archery women can compete with anyone in the world.
You should include stock car racing in your list. Danica Patrick has been able to come on the nationwide tour and show people she can race with the best of them.
Interestingly enough, a sport where strength does give a decided advantage - bowling, a woman just won recently at the highest level of competition in which the sport has to offer. Kelly Kulick beat Chris Barnes (who many experts would say is the best bowler currently) in a dominating 70 pin victory, in the title match of a PBA event.
women are better at being technical and fundamentally sound.
Men had thousands of years to practice their skills before the Women's Right Movement came into effect.
