For those that say no, don't you think your friends deserve to know? If one of my friends only had 6 months to live, I'd like to know so I can spend more time with them.

But now it's through obligation and not through true friendship, which could be considered the same thing but a slight subtle difference. ie, would they still come visit you if they knew you wasn't sick?

I see your point. But people get busy, some are out of town. Let's say I had a family with two kids. I have my priorities on my family, so I wouldn't spend time visiting a buddy when I think everything is normal. But if he told me, I'd make the time.

It's not through obligation, that's being cynical. Being there for friends is what friendship is all about.

I consider my friends to my family. So it's a definite yes. I'd expect the same in return.

i would... why not. they would probably treat me really nice and do whatever i want them too... because hey.... i'm gonna be dead soon...saddle up partner! going to vegas!
