I'm not sure if landlords/owners disclose that information with you, but if they do, I would definitely turn it down. I don't care how much renovations they did, it's just creepy.
but dying is just a normal part of life, something that happens to everyone eventually. So I don't know if it's something that should creep you out. Of course, depending on how the person died could make a difference. If someone was murdered, then maybe you could feel there's some bad karma left behind.
Oh yea I agree. I guess my intial thoughts to this question was a brutal way of dying. But yea the way the person died would be taken into consideration. And also, it depends if I'm renting or buying the property. If I'm buying I probably would think twice since I know I won't be able to leave that easily if I want to.
If it was a violent death or if the person committed suicide then NO WAY. I've seen enough ghost movies to convince me that you shouldn't mess around with spirits in that type of situation. If the person passed away peacefully then I'd consider it. Isn't it possible in an older style home or apartment that you're bound to have had someone die in it at some point or another anyways.
If I was a "Ghost Whisperer" like Jennifer Love Hewitt's character, then I would probably chance it hoping that I'll be able to assist crossing over the ghost of the dead individual.
Personally, i would not do that. There was someone dead. A dead spirit, a dead soul. Even if we wash it up a part of it it's still there. It might also be haunted by the dead guy's spirit. Personally if i were dead, i wanted the place i died to remain the same. As a "respect" towards me.
