QUESTION:

Is there a proper way of eating udon?

Udon (oo-don): A thick Japanese noodle made with wheat flour, usually served in soup or broth.

I always find myself splattering hot broth all over the place.

I don't eat udon. It reminds me of worms. But when I eat pho I put the noodles in a soup spoon to reduce slurpage. :)
