Hell to the no. Surrending to temptation can lead to all sorts of bad outcomes. Please think twice before cheating people. Do you really want to hurt your loved ones? Is it really worth it?

I think the same number of people are doing it now as have always done it, celebrity or not. Whats making it more socially acceptable is the media highlighting it and making shows about it and immersing it into our culture so that its no longer a shock or scandalous. Was the public majority outraged over the Tiger Woods episode? No. Those that cared even an ounce just wanted to get the gossipy details.

I do agree with you that the media has played a big role in shaping our perception of what marriage should be. When we see so much display of celebrities getting divorced, we no longer become surprised at the act itself.
