For some reason I almost feel compelled to go down each aisle. Maybe because I imagine looking at my route from a birds eye view and I want it to look like a snake going up and down each aisle. I'm sure I spend more money since I probably will make more impulse buys. $1.99 for mint milanos, add it to the cart. buy one get one free ice cream sandos, add it to the cart.
It's always a failed mission for me when I go to the grocery store. Regardless of going through every aisle, I also tend to forget at least ONE thing.
It can be so frustrating. I think I need to be accompanied by someone - a designated grocery shopper. Tag teaming usually gets things accomplished. Don't go grocery shopping alone should be my new motto.
"Don't go grocery shopping alone should be my new motto." or when you're hungry. it's amazing how much extra crap you'll buy at the grocery store when you're hungry. and then months later, you'll see those crap items in your cupboard just wasting space b/c you never should've bought them in the first place.
Sounds like an alternative to the tag team shopping would be to buy less but go frequent. Trip A would be to go through the first half of the isle and Trip B would go through the second half.
When I go in a grocery store I start on the fruit and vegetable aisle then I go up and down each aisle until I get to the frozen and cold stuff which I get last. Just the way I have always done it guess I learned it from my mom.
