Is Chemistry in college more difficult than Biology?

Just basic GEC courses and I'm having a horrible time with Biology getting straight B's and A's in Chemistry

The first 1 legged A I ever got was Chemistry in college. And I actually tried. I got weeded out of Engineering the department pretty quickly after that.

Both seem equally hard and some of the concepts in one class explains some of the concepts in the other.

True I guess the difficulty for me is that chemistry seems to be based on equations and problems that you must work through which is what I'm good at, while biology is just memorizing notes for the most part. There are a few genetics problems.
