QUESTION:

Do you believe people that say "if you put your mind to it, you can do anything?"

bottom line, if you try really really hard at boxing, you will probably never knock out Mike Tyson. And no matter how much you study you probably will not be smarter than Einstein.

The oppose of this line would be "somethings are just not meant to be"

Frankly, I feel both of these lines are fluff and don't add any substance.

The things people can accomplish when they do put their mind to something is really truly spectacular at times. There are several things I would doubt a person be able to do, even with putting their mind to it; but I don't know if I could really say anything is impossible if one is dedicated enough.

So much better if you read it like a fortune cookie..."if you put your mind to it, you can do anything.....IN BED."

I think if you dedicated your life to becoming the best boxers in the world, it can happen, unless you have a tremendous disadvantage.

Well I see that saying in a different way. Yes if you put your mind to it you can do anything doesn't mean you are going to succeed at it but at least you tried.

Well, to use your own example against you, As Albert Einstein said "Imagination is more important than knowledge." Einstein had problems and learned the same way you and i do. There is nothing stopping you from accomplishing anything else another human has done.
